How the Possum Removal Process works

Possum removal is really the wrong terminology. It is more about the process of preventing them from getting back in, once they have been removed.

The end result has the same meaning though, “Just get rid of the possum” is probably the most common request we get.

When you hear a noise in your roof what I ask you to do is:

1. Listen to the type of noise you are hearing – possums run with heavy feet and the scratching noises are loud
2. Try and identify times you are hearing the noises
3. Try to pick the directions they are moving in your roof. Sometimes however it sounds like you are at a horse race, so if you can’t pick that one don’t worry
4. Call Mr Possum – we will talk to you about what you are  hearing and where and we should be able to give you a pretty good indication on price at this point too
5. Organise a time that works for us both to inspect your roof inside and out
6. Locate the entry point or points
7. Make sure your little possum friend is out of the roof and
8. Seal the hole up so they can’t get back in.
9. The option of placing a possum box in a nearby tree is totally yours, it does give them another option for accommodation once they are locked out of your roof.
