Rats are breeding in the ceilings and walls of a huge percentage of houses around Queensland.

We get called to houses primarily because there are noises in the roof and in most cases it is possums that are the cause. Rats are often seen in roofs and ceilings but at the moment we are seeing an extraordinarily large number of cases where rats are the cause of the noise in the roof and not a possum.

Get rid of rats

Traditionally you only have a couple of options to get rid of rats.

• poison them or
• use a trap.

Either way it can be messy or costly

Where do the Rat go to die?

Poisoning rats causes some other problems.

It will cause the death of the rat but you just don’t know where the rat dies. It should go out to water but then again it has been known for them to die in the roof and smell the place out for a week or so.

The other issue is that Possums will eat the rat bait and it will kill them.

What’s  the answer?

I have been looking for a product that will humanely exterminate rats from the ceilings I inspect daily. I have been looking for a more Humane predictable way to get rid of rats from ceilings.

Zap them with a High voltage hit that kills them in a confined chamber

Fast and humane, rats die instantly inside the chamber of the trap so you know exactly where they are and all that is needed is to pick up the chamber and dispose of the dead rat. NO BLOOD, NO Mess and no handling dead decaying rats.

The Trap is call the Zaparat ^TM Electronic rodent Zapper.

The rats crawl into the chamber and get zapped with a high voltage Whack, enough to kill them instantly. Kind of like the spark from a cars ignition system. (really fast)

Then you just pick up the Zaparat Unit and empty it into the disposal area, reset it and wait for the next one to come sniffing around.

Because it’s fully enclosed it is safe to use around pets and children.
